Facts about Creative Industry Project Funding

Maximum funding amount:

200,000 euros

Funding rate:

50%

Minimum project value:

10,000 euros

Who is eligible?

Existing small, medium, and large-scale enterprises (SMEs), as well as founders that have (or are planning) a development proposal in Vienna.

Business sectors:

Companies and founders in the creative industries (architecture, design, film, art market, fashion, multimedia  and games, music business and publishing).

Eligible costs:

Payroll costs, non-personnel and material costs, costs for external services, including consultations, training, marketing and distribution, travel expenses, and investments in new machines. Sector-specific starter outfits, software, and costs for intellectual property rights are also eligible. 

Upfront payment:

Up to a maximum of 50% of the approved funding amount can be paid up front. Don't forget your biannual progress report on your development proposal.

Maximum project duration:

2 years

Documents for your application to receive Creative Industry Project Funding:

A duly completed online funding application, an application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, your latest annual financial statements, and/or an income statement.

Assessment:

An independent jury will assess your submission and provide a recommendation for your development proposal's funding.

Legal basis under European state aid law:

Bonus:

Women's bonus: 10,000 euros. Startup bonus: 5,000 euros. The women's bonus is awarded if your development proposal is managed by a woman with the necessary qualifications. If a new company is founded as part of the development proposal, we'll also pay a startup bonus.
