Workshops for primary schools
Whether it’s research, inventions or careers: come along to our school workshops. In the ‘Treasure Trove of Ideas’ workshop for pupils in Years 3 and 4, research and innovation are linked to their own everyday lives. The children learn about Viennese innovations in the fields of nutrition, health and clothing. They come up with their own ideas on these topics.
Career guidance workshops
for young people from year 7 onwards
Which careers are emerging as a result of digitalisation, sustainability or the life sciences, and what skills will young people need for them? Our free career guidance workshops show young people which careers in the fields of IT, healthcare and sustainability will be important in the future. Through fun and hands-on activities, pupils learn about different careers, meet role models from business and research, and discover what specific skills will be essential in the future. These free programmes are suitable for secondary schools, polytechnic schools/vocational secondary schools and lower secondary classes at academic secondary schools (AHS) in Vienna.

The ‘Ideenschatz’ workshops are co-funded as part of the ‘Innovative Vienna’ (IWI) project with funding from the European Regional Development Fund. Through this project, the Vienna Business Agency aims to strengthen the innovative capacity of Viennese businesses, encourage collaboration in the development of people-centred digital technologies and innovative solutions for climate action and the circular economy, and inspire young Viennese people to pursue careers of the future.
