The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies is causing uncertainty amongst young people, their parents and guardians about the future of work.
The ‘AI & Our Jobs’ project aims to strengthen young people’s AI literacy and raise their awareness of the growing role of AI in the labour market. A modular educational programme comprising various pilot activities, such as workshops and field trips, is designed to enable them to understand and critically evaluate AI tools, to use them effectively for educational and career guidance, and to learn about the role of AI in the context of their future careers. This will provide pupils, teachers and parents with insights into how AI is already being used in various professions, within specific companies and across the labour market in their regions as a whole; how it could be used in the future; and which AI technologies are being developed in their regions.
These activities are being developed and implemented by the Vienna Business Agency in collaboration with its partners: the Ars Electronica Centre, Q – Space for Science, Vysočina Education, Educational Institute for Moravia (VIM) and the South Bohemian Chamber of Commerce (JHK).
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the INTERREG Austria–Czech Republic programme.
