Swallowing difficulties, medically referred to as dysphagia, are quite common and affect about 10% of society. The Viennese cafetière family Querfeld, known for the Café Landtmann, focuses on innovative solutions and produces barrier-free pastry for people with swallowing disorders.

Through innovative and safe adaptations of their cakes, Landtmann's Feine Patisserie, has made it their mission to make swallowing easier for people with disorders. The barrier-free "Marvella cakes" are smooth and delicate pastry products. These pastries offer incomparable pleasure, and are also a significant social and emotional experience. In a conversation with Ms. Irmgard Querfeld, we wanted to learn more about these innovative desserts.

For over 45 years, the Querfeld family in Vienna has been making cakes and pastries for its nine coffeehouses and restaurants according to traditional recipes and with selected ingredients.
