Production support and special prizes for 6 creative digital projects from Vienna
Since 2009, the Vienna Business Agency has supported creative multimedia productions through Content Vienna – from games, XR and animation to AI applications – fostering talent and innovation and strengthening Vienna as a media hub.
This year, five production grants of €10,000 each will once again be awarded, alongside the ‘Digital Design for Health’ special prize (also worth €10,000), offered in cooperation with the Open Innovation in Science Center der Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft. Projects led by women will also receive a women’s bonus of €1,000 each.

Waterhead by Mia Cain & Poppy Tilbury
The narrative game Waterhead explores the interwar period in Austria, with a focus on Vienna. It combines gameplay and creative design to address issues that remain highly relevant today, including political radicalisation, social polarisation and the erosion of democratic achievements.
“The funding from the Vienna Business Agency provides valuable support for Waterhead. For newcomers to the gaming industry in particular, it creates an opportunity to develop a distinctive project further and make it even better.”

More Amore by Poesie Media
More Amore is a vertical-format dramedy series about young women’s mental health. Content creators are cast as performers to reach the target audience directly through social media reels.
“For us, Content Vienna is more than financial support: the funding gives us the freedom to take unconventional paths during development and test approaches that extend far beyond this project.”

Voice2Symbol – A Speech-to-Symbol Translator for Augmentative and Alternative Communication by Voice2Symbol e.U.
The Voice2Symbol app converts speech into symbols, enabling augmentative and alternative communication – not only for people with speech impairments. This promotes participation and contributes to the wellbeing, and therefore the health, of different groups in society.
“Thanks to the funding, we can make Voice2Symbol accessible to more people. We plan to support additional operating systems, add new symbol languages and therapeutic features, and offer more customisation."

Intra-Realms by Immerea OG
Intra-Realms is a game installation that combines physical space and mixed reality technologies to create a shared gaming experience. The project reveals how differently people perceive natural phenomena and encourages them to question their own perspectives.
“Thanks to Content Vienna, we can start the main development of our experimental game installation Intra-Realms, gaining momentum to attract further partners and funding to realise the project and bring it to a wider audience.”

Telephone Detective by Georg Luif
Telephone Detective is a digital detective game that builds AI literacy through an unusual interface: a modified rotary telephone. It uses voice control and integrates the fallibility of artificial intelligence into its storytelling.
“Content Vienna’s support enables me to develop Telephone Detective from a prototype into a touring installation. The award reinforces my belief that an accessible, critical engagement with AI is particularly important right now.”
