Will we encounter an international community in Vienna?

How about international schools?
Today, Vienna is already home to 14 international private schools, offering education, support, and supervision for your children in many different languages. “A Brookes Education” will soon open another international school location in Vienna. In all public schools, every child also learns at least one foreign language – including English, French, Italian, Spanish, Czech, Slovak, and Hungarian.
Can my partner find employment in Vienna, too?
Of course! The Viennese labour market is very multicultural, and Viennese companies employ a large number of workers from EU countries. In addition, international organisations and over 220 multinational corporate headquarters offer a wide range of job opportunities for people with an international background.
Will I find an apartment to suit my needs?
Yes! Vienna offers a wide choice of living possibilities: from a house in the countryside to a loft in the city centre, nearly everything is possible. Rental prices are more than 20% below the EU average.
What about public transportation in Vienna?
Public transport in Vienna runs 24 hours a day and seven days a week – you can use all means of transport in the metropolitan area for just one euro per day. Vienna has an extensive underground, bus, and tram network – the intervals at peak times are just 90 seconds.
Do the Viennese speak English?
Foreign language learning in Austria begins in primary school. One hundred per cent of all Viennese primary school pupils learn a foreign language – 99.7% of them learn English. Before graduating from secondary school, Austrian pupils learn English for about seven to ten years. Their competency has also been amply confirmed: In international comparison, the English language skills of the Austrians have been awarded top marks.

Yes! From Vienna Airport you can reach ALL European Capitals within 3 hours utmost. It only takes 16 minutes to travel from the airport to the centre of Vienna, so travel time can be reduced to a minimum, and you won’t waste valuable family or work time en route.
