Workshop: BIOREGIONAL DESIGN PRACTICES (with Jan Boelen)
Attend the workshop at the new Biofabrique Vienna Showroom!
How can unused local resources be transformed into innovative materials for design and architecture? To answer questions like these, the interdisciplinary research design lab Atelier LUMA has developed the bioregional design approach on which the Biofabrique Vienna pilot project is based.
Jan Boelen (artistic director of Atelier LUMA) will hold a workshop on how bioregional practices help to create and build an ecosystem together with organisations, designers, entrepreneurs and professionals. The focus in this regard is on design and textile-related systems.
The workshop will take place at the new Biofabrique Vienna Showroom at the DOCKS, where an exhibition and first application examples will illustrate the topic of bioregional design.
Biofabrique Vienna is a pilot project of the Vienna Business Agency and Atelier LUMA, a programme of LUMA Arles, in partnership with the Institute of Architectural Design at TU Wien.
