The artists’ book as a democratic work of art
The Vienna Art Book Fair #3 offers a three-day platform for artists, collectives, self-publishers, small publishers, antiquarian bookshops, art libraries, institutions, printers, collectors and anyone else who is committed to the medium of books.
With the support of the Vienna Business Agency, the branch office at Vordere Zollamtsstraße 7 will be transformed into an adventure park for book lovers from 17 to 19 October. The artist's book as a democratic work of art is the focus of the VABF.
On 17 October, 7.30 p.m. Matt Plezier (MonoRethorik) and Moritz Grünke (Gloria Glitzer) will hold the opening keynote talk supported by the Vienna Business Agency.
The event is free and open to all.

Stickers in the urban landscape engage with public spaces in a direct manner. Stickers are ideal for this task, they are cheap to make, they stick to any surface and are * hard to clean. Many protest stickers are attempts to persuade, to bring attention to urgent themes, or are a form of territorial space-claiming. Whatever the goal, stickers participate in public debates transforming the public space into a bulletin board. — Matt Plezier
