Tour 4: Creatives for Vienna – Making Spaces X Klima Biennale Wien
Bike tour to three award-winning projects that are testing new uses for urban space.
The winning projects of the competition Creatives for Vienna – Making Spaces by the Wirtschaftsagentur Wien are presented at various locations in Vienna during the Klima Biennale Wien. They demonstrate how Vienna’s creative industries enhance public spaces in local neighbourhoods, strengthen communities, and help the city adapt to social and climate-related challenges.
This bike tour leads to three projects that show how Vienna’s creative industries further develop existing structures and test new uses in urban space.
The stations of this tour will be reached by bike - please come by bike.

Wiener Würstelstand by friendship.is examines the Würstelstand as a socially diverse meeting place in public space. With the mobile HOT BOX BUILDING, it becomes a laboratory for testing and documenting new uses of the urban environment.

Kühle Sache – COAT conditions atmosphériques d'espaces
Kühle Sache by COAT | conditions atmosphériques d'espaces expands an existing fountain at Johanna-Dohnal-Platz into a communal, cooling gathering spot. An ecological slanted table increases the water surface and invites people to come together directly at the water.

Die Stadt führt sich auf – Burgtheater Wien & Social Design Studio (University of Applied Arts Vienna))
Die Stadt führt sich auf by Burgtheater Wien and the Social Design Studio (Universität für angewandte Kunst Wien) transforms the open space around the Burgtheater into a stage for everyone. Reused stage sets become new urban furniture and create opportunities for social participation.
