Biofabrique Vienna and Vienna Design Week are launching a design competition as part of their joint format Urban Food & Design, inviting proposals for the creation of an installation at Biofabrique Vienna on the Nordwestbahnhof site. The installation is intended to showcase possible applications of the ”Wiener Farben” beyond the textile sector. The design process should be preceded by experiments exploring how the ”Wiener Farben” can be applied to different materials commonly used in design.
The Biofabrique Vienna team will be available on Monday, 16 March 2026, at 2:00 pm for an online Q&A session to answer detailed questions. Registration is requested.
This online meeting will be conducted using Microsoft Teams. Personal data (e.g. name, email address, audio/video data, chat contributions and technical metadata) will be processed during the meeting.
