Open Source, Open City: Kickoff FIWARE iHub Vienna
First FIWARE iHub opens in Austria
The new FIWARE iHub is creating a central hub for everyone involved in open source technologies, digital innovation, and sustainable business models—whether you're a company, research project, or tech enthusiast.
The iHub Vienna aims to:
- Make open source more understandable and accessible
- Share best practices and know-how
- Strengthen the open source community in Austria and the entire CEE region
Why is open source so relevant?
Today, open source stands for more than just freely available software. It is a driver of digital sovereignty, innovation, and economic scalability. More and more companies are developing viable business models based on open source – whether through services, platform solutions or community-driven developments.
Look forward to contributions from experts from the City of Vienna and the FIWARE Foundation, practical insights from international iHubs and concrete examples from companies in Austria and abroad. We also offer a wide range of opportunities to network with the international FIWARE community.
The event is free of charge, but registration is required.
