In this talk, Cyrus Nemati, Founder and Creative Director of Little Bat Games, Berlin walks us through the history of the development of educational games in the 1970s and 1980s, elaborates on why games have been an excellent medium for education, and why educational games for adults struggle. He presents current market realities and discusses how developers can adjust to them and still develop meaningful games.
After the talk, Cyrus discusses chances and challenges of developing, funding and marketing games beyond entertainment with Julia Murczek (Lost in the Garden) and Felix Bohatsch (Broken Rules).
The event is open to the public free of charge and without registration and is being held with the support of the Vienna Business Agency.
