Creative minds gather at Creative Days Vienna for two days of lectures, tours and networking to discuss the latest interplay of technology, culture and society.

 

Spaces play a decisive role for creative professionals. At the Creatives for Vienna – Making Spaces tour we’ll visit three winning projects: From the established art incubator "Creative Cluster" we’ll head to the young multimedia studio house "Palais Rössl", then have a joint free lunch together followed by a tour at the new activation of the former ORF Funkhaus by the interim use project "Never at Home". They will all tell us about their experiences with vacancy activation and let us take a look behind the scene.

Creative Cluster: Karim El Seroui, architect and visual artist & Zita Maria Kral, cultural and social anthropologist, speaker and coach.

Karim El Seroui, managing director, architect and visual artist, leads the CREATIVE CLUSTER with visionary verve. At his side is co-founder Zita Maria Kral, a cultural and social anthropologist with extensive experience as a project manager. In addition to her role in the CLUSTER, she is active as a speaker, performer and coach. Launched in 2015, the non-profit association has set new standards for decentralised cultural work, interdisciplinary practice and innovative vacancy activation. With numerous pioneering events at the interface between culture, creative industries, science and research, CREATIVE CLUSTER has shaped the scene. In 2024, it expanded its vision to include the Agentur für Mehrwertgenerierung GmbH.

Palais Rössl is a symbiotic collective of artists and cultural workers that created an interdisciplinary studio house space in the heart of Vienna.

Palais Rössl is a cross-generational, poly-disciplinary, queer, symbiotic community of artists and cultural workers as well as a time- and space-transcending hybrid being. They share a love of collaborative spaces and poetopolitical co-creation, with sound as a strong connecting link. Self-organised studios, rehearsal rooms, workshops, exhibition spaces, communal rooms and a transcientist laboratory have been created over 700 m2. For the revitalisation of the former premises of the MDW (University of Music and Performing Arts) in Rinößlgasse, 25 artists from different disciplines have come together to take of the renovation and administration of the spaces in a self-organised way based on community work.
