Food additives are used for technological purposes, for example for preservation, coloring or to enhance flavor. This course provides basic knowledge about the European Additives Regulation and its application. You will learn how food additives are used and labeled correctly. Current topics and developments in the field of additives will be presented and information will be provided on the monitoring of food additives, which places new demands on food business operators and authorities.
