Blueprint Energy Solutions
Austrian ThinkTank for smart energy transitionBlueprint Energy Solutions GmbH is an Austrian ThinkTank and an independent service provider whose main business domain is the digitalization of energy markets, smart grids and related ICT services. We are devoted to high-tech innovative energy industry products and systems design and development using platform integration and facilitating customer engagement.
Our services can be divided into three different categories:
Smart Grid Solutions - where we have developed our unique Utility 4.0 platform and P2P platform,
Energy-focused ICT consultancy and
Integration and Energy market services.
Blueprint is set up by a team of senior energy industry experts coming from international background in consulting, system integration and academia.
Our experts are very active in European R&I and working groups, BRIDGE: cooperation of SmartGrid and Energy Storage H2020 projects: http://www.h2020-bridge.eu/ and ETIP SNET: - the European Technology & Innovation Platform on Smart Networks for Energy Transition; http://www.etip-snet.eu/ - where we lead task force within WG4: Digitization of Energy - Use cases and disruptive business models
On the basis of long term experience in consulting for almost all major electricity and gas network operators, we have developed a product portfolio.
Virtually every utility has faced the challenges that come when piecing together a comprehensive picture of assets using maintenance records from their asset management system, spatial data found in the geographical information system and their operational real time data in real time system. IMultiple databases and absence of integrated processes complicate utility data transformation further, making it impossible to implement new analytics tools. The key is found in integration between these IT and OT systems, however contemporary approach asks to conduct a long term and effort extensive integration project using multiple standards for data exchange protocols. Only large scale utilities have the budgets and time to conduct this exercise. Blueprint has developed a framework for this and a platform with a ready-to-use adapter - trinity adapter - that enables single data entry and minimizes effort and implementation time at the customer site, thus allowing mid-size utilities and system operators to achieve this goal.
Now, so much more can be achieved if network operators and managers can easily optimize and group work crew schedules and planned outages based on the geographic proximity of assets requiring maintenance, color coding based on real time asset condition - all this due to advantages of being able to combine the power of all three systems, with a very fast return on investment.
Finally, as a second product coming from our research activities supporting local energy communities, Blueprint leveraged platform design experience to enable peer-to-peer trading of prosumers at the community level, as a solution for future energy system.
