From College Project to Start- Up
What began as a project for a technical college program has become a rising star in the international gaming scene.
Four students enrolled in a game engineering and simulation course – Michael Benda, Sabine Pölzbauer, Kilian Reisenegger und Philipp Schäfer – developed a mock game, which found acceptance far beyond the boundaries of the technical college. This was the foundation for “Zeppelin Studio”. A creative and artistic approach is just as important to the young team as technical quality, which is why they are currently working with the German sound studio leed_audio.The Jump’n’Run game tells the story of a man who is searching for his son and ends up in a mysterious swamp. While there, he must complete various tricky assignments.
The game itself is winning one award after another, among them the Deutschen Entwickler Award 2013, Image Cup 2013, Content Award 2014 of the Vienna Business Agency, and many more. “By receiving the awards and taking part in international events such as the Content Award on Tour in London we have gained visibility and valuable contacts”, an excited Michael Benda explained about the support. “It is really nice to see that our work has received recognition and also brings enjoyment to other people.”
