Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspots for Travelers
In most cases there is one thing missing in your luggage while traveling – fast, reliable and cheap internet access. The Vienna startup FLINK has developed a secure, cost-effective - and stress free - internet solution for travelers.
The young company was founded in 2014 with the goal of establishing itself as a provider of mobile hotspots. These are much smaller than your average smartphone, have a very high bandwidth and are more secure than free WLANs. The booking, settlement and return process is very simple: You book online, then by eight o’clock on the day of arrival the mobile hotspot is delivered to the designated hotel or private address. It can be immediately connected with up to ten smartphones, tablets or laptops simultaneously. This also makes it an ideal products for groups. Before departure, the unit is placed into the supplied return envelope and can be simply either left with the hotel reception or post it into a letter box. The rental period ranges from one day to 14 days.
"The demand especially with online bookings shows that we have found a niche with our product," said a very pleased CCO Christoph Baldinger. "Distribution partnerships with the Vienna Tourist Board and many hotels also demonstrate our successful market entry. Recently, together with a partner, we opened a location at the Vienna airport."
