Vienna Business Agency
The Vienna Business Agency supports founders and start-up entrepreneurs in implementing their business ideas and promoting their growth. It offers counseling in 17 different languages, individual coaching and workshops. These services are free of charge.
ABA-Invest in Austria
ABA-Invest in Austria is the national investment promotion agency owned by the Austrian Ministry of Economy. For foreign investors and enterpreneurs it offers comprehensive and unbureaucratic know-how for the set up of a company and provides information on incentives, market opportunities, tax and legal aspects, etc. As a governmental agency, all services are free of charge.
The biggest students for students organization worldwide is also engaged in start-up and entrepreneurship support activities at universities.
Public employment service offers a special program for potential business founders.
Austrian Standards - Start-up Paket
Austrian Standards offers a startup package for innovative concepts. The program offers an international network to gain new customers and helps to make products and servies ready for the market.
Austria Wirtschaftsservice (AWS)
austria wirtschaftsservice is the federal development and financing bank for the promotion and financing of companies offering a number of specialized services to start-ups as well, e.g.:
- „i2 - Die Börse für Business Angels” (Austrian Business Angel Network)
- aws Gründerfonds (founders’ fund) and Business Angel Fonds
- Venture Capital Iniative
- Specific calls and subsidy programs for start-ups (e.g. Impulse, Double Equity, Life Science Austria, Cleantech-Initiative)
Entrepreneurship Center Network (ECN)
The Entrepreneurship Center Network (ECN) is a joint initiative of six Viennese universities promoting and supporting entrepreneurship among students.
FH Technikum Wien is Austrias only technical University of Applied Sciences. With the initiative „Start me up“ the FH support students, employees, alumnis and interested ones with „Entrepreneurship in Technology“. In addition the FH has a pool of mentors and provides know-how and infrastructure for those with a concrete idea.

Junge Wirtschaft is the youth instiution of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and focuses on the needs of start-ups and newly founded companies.

Wissens- und Technologietransferzentrum Ost
To better exploit the potential of students and researchers and develop the knowledge region Vienna sustainably, one of the priorities of the knowledge transfer center east is to promote university spin - offs and start-ups.

The Austrian Chamber of Commerce is the legal public representative of the majority of Austria’s companies. Incl. Gründerservice (www.gruenderservice.net), Go International (www.go-international.at) and Aussenwirtschaft Austria (www.wko.at).
WU Entrepreneurship Center
Since June 2015, the WU Entrepreneurship Center has been the central place to go to for guidance on student entrepreneurship. It is the long-term goal of the WU Entrepreneurship Center to help increase the number and especially the quality of entrepreneurial activities amongst WU students, alumni and faculty.
