Theobroma is bringing hardware production to Technology Centre Seestadt
It’s a familiar thought that most of us have had on the way to work or on holiday: did I switch the oven off? Turn down the heating? Shut the blinds? Thanks to smart homes, worries like this are a thing of the past. With just a swipe on our smartphones, we can remotely operate our heating, lights, shutters and more.
To make sure that everything is working properly and that all the different electronic networks in the house or apartment can communicate with each other, so-called embedded systems are needed. These consist of hardware – de facto computers, usually in the form of circuit boards or plug-in boards – and the associated software. They are incorporated into all kinds of technical systems and assume monitoring, controlling or regulatory functions.
Embedded systems from Seestadt for the entire world
It is precisely these kinds of embedded systems that Theobroma, the leading technology company in this sector, produces in Vienna’s Seestadt. Until now, Theobroma was working on software in Technology Centre Seestadt. Now, additional spaces are being rented so that the hardware can also be produced on location in a new production facility.
There are few limits to the opportunities provided by the embedded systems from Theobroma. They range from household devices, to mobile phones, security and surveillance technologies, to smart home solutions. With the expansion of the location, Seestadt is now exporting ideas, software and hardware to the entire world.
