Company increases capital by €6.2 billion
The Russian oil and gas corporation Lukoil has reinforced its Vienna-based international operations with a capital increase of €6.2 billion, and is now set to forge ahead with further expansion in the coming years.
In April 2016, Lukoil made a long-term commitment by relocating its European headquarters to Vienna. Lukoil primarily uses Vienna as the hub of its operations in Western Europe. The company achieved net turnover of €217 million in 2015, and currently employs approximately 130 staff in its Vienna branch.
Lukoil Lubricants is the international lubricant division of Russia’s largest private mineral oil corporation. After relocating to Vienna in 2014, it took on the former OMV production site at Lobau Oil Harbour along with its former staff. Lukoil has subsequently invested in the expansion of the production site and modernisation of its technology.
