15 million Euro funding pot for online shop systems is fully exhausted.
Just under a month ago, the City of Vienna launched the Wien Online funding programme. It supports small and micro enterprises in Vienna in setting up and expanding online shop systems. This immediate measure in the course of the Corona crisis met the exact needs of the entrepreneurs: 2,399 submitted applications for funding are currently being processed by the Vienna Business Agency. With this number of applications, the funding pot of 15 million euros has been exhausted. New applications are no longer possible!
Vienna Online exhausted
A glance at the balance sheet of the support programme shows that the City's offer of support for Viennese businesses was made at the right time and with the right content: Up to and including 13 May, 2,399 companies had submitted an application for support, with a total applied for support of 15 million euros.
The funding quota was 75 per cent, the maximum funding amount per company was 10,000 Euros. The first funds of the Vienna Online funding programm will be released this week and the Vienna Business Agency team is working intensively to ensure that the money reaches the companies as quickly as possible.
Further support for Viennese enterprises
In addition to the current funding programmes of the Vienna Business Agency, two Corona emergency aid measures for Viennese companies are currently available:
- Innovate4Vienna: the programme supports the development of new products and ideas for how companies and institutions can function despite the restrictions imposed by Corona with a total of 4 million euros. (to 30 June 2020)
- Creatives for Vienna: the ideas competition is looking for creative concepts for life in the city after the crisis, 1 million euros are available. (to 30 June 2020)
