ENERGIE! urbanize! festival 2024 focuses on ecological and socially responsible energy transition
Under the title “ENERGY!”, the urbanize! festival 2024 is dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of a sustainable energy transition in urban areas. From 8 to 13 October, the festival will host around 30 events to discuss innovative solutions for the decarbonization of the city and the democratization of energy generation and supply. The focus is on the vision of an energetic urban society that actively shapes its future. In addition to innovative structural and technical approaches, the festival focuses on the democratic and emancipatory aspects of the energy transition with topics such as energy democracy, supply justice and citizen participation.
The six-day festival offers a wide range of formats with specialist lectures and discussions, workshops, artistic interventions, films, exhibitions and city walks. urbanize! opens up a temporary space for experts, activists, artists and interested citizens to design a sustainable urban future together.
