
Michel Blancsubé
Michel Blancsubé (*1958 in France) is a “dependent” curator based in Mexico City. He was assistant curator in Marseille’s Contemporary Art Museum from 1996 to 2001. From 2001 to 2012 he was head of the registration department at Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo, and then curator from 2012 to 2015. His curatorial work includes: Yäq, La Planta, Guadalajara (Mexico), 2007; Carlos Amorales. Vivir por fuera de la casa de uno, Museo Amparo, Puebla (Mexico), 2010; Hermann Nitsch, Das Orgien Mysterien Theater, ZAC, Cantiari Culturali Alla Zisa, Palermo (Italy), 2015; Jean-Luc Moulène, VERDE AZUL WHITE BLACK RED, Torre de los Vientos, Mexico City, 2015 among others.
He was part of the jury of the Eighth Contemporary Art State’s Encounter, Puebla, 2008; Northwest’s Visual Arts Biennial, Culiacan, 2011; Artemergente Biennial, Monterrey, 2012; Yanghyun Art Prize 2013 among others. Blancsubé has collaborated on several art catalogues. His next project is Daniel Guzmán. SOUP, COSMOS and TEARS at Museo Universitario del Chopo, Mexico City.
