
Æsa Sigurjónsdóttir
Æsa Sigurjónsdóttir is an associate professor and curator based in Paris and Reykjavik. She has organized and participated in numerous national and international curatorial projects with Icelandic and European institutions and teaches Art History and Art Theory at the University of Iceland. Some of her recently curated and co-curated exhibitions are: Re-construction of Friendship, Corner House, Riga European Capital of Culture, 2014; Tracks in Sand, a retrospective of sculptor Sigurjón Ólafsson, National Gallery Iceland, 2014; Turku Biennale, Finland, 2013; FNAGP, Paris, 2014 (Guest curator); Reality Check, Reykjavík Art Festival 2010. Sigurjónsdóttir has written extensively on contemporary Icelandic art, photography and fashion.
