BeeLiebe is a research project for the prototype of a beehive-vessel that could dwell in the Danube as a giver of ecological, educational and economical benefits for the city of Vienna. Developing this project needs previous research and dialogue with biologists, beekeepers and inhabitants of the city to understand the conditions of the territory. The objective of this research is to reach out and establish a network with the actors needed to be operative as well as looking for the precise materials to be recycled and used in the construction of the vessel.
Working with beehives involves the basic principles we need as a society to outstand the upcoming crisis. These insects represent the spirit of non-exhaustion of resources, fertility and communal work which we need more than ever.
