Vlasta Kubušová

Vlasta Kubušová together with Miroslav Král founded Berlin - Bratislava based crafting plastics! Studio in 2016 - an interdisciplinary research material and design studio focused on exploring the possibilities and introduction of innovative, sustainable materials into our day-to-day lives. Since 2014, she has been working on collaborative effort with material scientists to develop the new generation of bioplastics for consumer goods and ready to wear products. The first products of crafting plastics! studio - cp! eyewear, exploring sustainable, transparent production processes in response to exploitative practices in the fashion industry, have been presented all over the Europe and have won several international prizes, including Diploma Selection (2016), Slovak National Design Award, nomination for German Design Award (2018), Green Product Award (2017). In 2018, Vlasta was appointed as a member of Slovak Forbes 30under30. In 2018, cp! studio's long term collaboration with material scientists resulted in NUATAN® - a selection of sustainable blends as an ecological alternative to synthetic plastics for value-added products.
