TOUR: Social Design
1070 Unseen – Signale aus dem Off
What value does neighbourhood have in urban coexistence? What roles do social professions play in times of anonymisation and digitisation? How can we progressively incorporate the phenomenon of an ageing population into urban design processes? For their "Unseen" project, a group of young designers accompanied Caritas home helpers on their assignments and developed a social design project from them, which can currently be seen in the Bezirksmuseum Neubau. We meet the designers on site to learn more about their project and the results.
co/rizom
co/rizom is a new initiative that combines social entrepreneurship and design to revitalise and professionalise marginalised crafts traditions in different countries with new business models. The aim is to develop a methodology that links small handicraft enterprises with larger companies.
In a three-year programme, local craft communities will be equipped with social entrepreneurial access and networks, together with well as design competence to open up supra-regional distribution opportunities, enhance their work and improve their living conditions. The team, Alina Serban and Lisa Pock, will report on the project and the network.
