
Jascha Süss
Jascha Süss (born in 1996) is a Digital Artist with focus on immersive experiences. He studied media technology at the University of Applied Sciences in St. Pölten specializing on experimental media. Over the past years he was been working mainly in the fields of Experiental Design, Projection Mapping and Live Visuals. He has created visuals for festivals such as Nova Rock, Frequency and cultural events such as the opening for the state gallery in Krems. He also works together with the DJ and producer duo Kruder & Dorfmeister.
In 2017 together with Yunus Sezer and Matthias Finding he founded formlos, a creative studio specializing on production and research in the fields of new media technology. At formlos the work revolves around online and offline experiences from commercial 3D productions, visual effects for online media up to virtual experiences. One example is the Virtual Album Experience for Kruder & Dorfmeisters latest Album 1995.
Artistically, Jascha Süss works across different fields and uses different tools to examine the aesthetic properties of every medium. To him, it is about how the tool shapes the creative process and vice versa. A focus for him lies on process based, generative art. Since 2020 Jascha Suess has been active in the NFT space, selling digital artworks as unique tokens on the art market place SuperRare.
