Adia Trischler

Raised in New York and currently based in Vienna, Adia works as a creative director, curator, cultural and fashion historian, journalist, host/ presenter, lecturer, video director, performer, visual consultant, occasional sound artist and writer.

Adia has been featured in Wallpaper Magazine and Kinfolk Magazine. She briefly worked as a personal stylist for Grammy Winning artist Lauryn Hill; and as a fashion historian in the archives of the renowned vintage store, What Comes Around Goes Around in New York City. Her video directing work has been shown at Centre Pompidou in Paris, The Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. She is a former recipient of  the award for Stylist of the Year at the Vienna Fashion and Lifestyle Awards.

Adia has also contributed articles pertaining to the intersection of music and cultural history for radio FM4 and as co-curator of Series:Black she has developed an interactive socio-linguistic workshop called RESOUND, which she has presented at UCLA’s Department of African American Studies ( as part of the symposium, On Blackness in Europe), as well as at the National Women’s Studies Association Conference in Atlanta, Georgia (USA), and in Vienna at the mdw - Universität  für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien. 

She is an official spokesperson for the Vienna Tourist Board, as well as the host of their online series, Vienna Now. Most recently, she served as creative director for the opening show of the 2020 MQ Vienna Fashion Week in collaboration with the Austrian Fashion Association and appeared as an actress in the Gucci miniseries Ouverture Of Something That Never Ended directed by Gus Van Sant.

Adia Trischler will be hosting the Creative Days Vienna – part of ViennaUP'21 – on 5 & 6 May 2021.
