
Workshop: Augmenting Performance Art - Exploring New Ways of Staging and Engaging Audiences
This workshop by Artivive takes place in cooperation with CultTech Association and the Vienna Business Agency. The workshop is designed for professionals from the performance sector interested in using augmented reality to promote and preserve performance art. During this workshop, participants will learn how to use the Artivive platform to create immersive and interactive augmented reality experiences that enhance the staging and presentation of performance art.
The workshop will start with an introduction to augmented reality and its potential applications in the field of performance art. We will explore how AR can be used to engage audiences in new and exciting ways, providing a deeper understanding and appreciation of the art form. We will also discuss how AR can be used as a conservation tool, helping to preserve and document performance art. During the practical part of the workshop, attendees will be guided through the process of creating a basic AR project using the Artivive app.
This hands-on session will provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to create their own AR experiences, which they can use to enhance their own performances or artworks. By the end of the workshop, attendees will have gained a deeper understanding of the potential of augmented reality in the world of performance art, and have practical experience in creating their own AR projects. They will leave with new skills and knowledge that they can use to engage audiences and enhance their own artistic practice.
