
Julienne Lorz
Julienne Lorz is Professor of Expanded Museum Studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. The new Master's programme, launched in October 2021, is dedicated to the investigation, expansion and reorientation of the concept of the museum. Julienne Lorz was Chief Curator at the Gropius Bau in Berlin from 2018 to 2021, where together with Natasha Ginwala she organised the exhibition "And Berlin Will Always Need You. Art, Craft and Concept Made in Berlin" and developed her solo exhibition "all building as making" with the artist Thea Djordjadze. Most recently, in 2022, she organised the exhibition "Louise Bourgeois. The Woven Child" for the institution. From 2005 to 2017, she worked at the Haus der Kunst in Munich. There she curated numerous international projects, monographic and thematic exhibitions with artists such as Haegue Yang, Joëlle Tuerlinckx, Laure Prouvost and in 2022/23 as external co-curator the exhibition of Joan Jonas.
