Kris Hofmann

Kris Hofmann has been working with animation since earning an MA in Communication Art and Design from the Royal College of Art in London in 2010. She moved to Vienna in 2018 and is now focused on the design of immersive Augmented Reality stories and experiences.

Past highlights include a V&A illustration award (2010), an extensive festival tour for her first animated short Breakfast (2011) and commissions for The New York Times, Somerset House, The Guardian Labs, Wildlife Aid, Madrid Fashion Week, Austrianfashion.net and the EU Energy Efficiency Commission.

The site-specific Augmented Reality experience ”The Bookworms”, directed and produced for the Austrian National Library, was nominated for the ”Staatspreis für Digitalisierung” in 2020.

Kris Hofmann will speak at the kick-off for the Content Vienna competition on 1 June 2022 at 5pm.
